There is a Health club  at the department. The aim of this club is propaganda and innovation of Healthy Lifestyle among youth.

The scientific field of Human and animals physiology department and «Ecological physiology» laboratory is connected with fundamental and applied researches on metabolism and energy, food assimilation in normal and pathology, as well as at influence on an organism various stress-factors. Soil animals’ physiology is studied extensively in recent years.

The basic scientific directions of Human and animal physiology department are

  • Research mechanisms of influence of high temperature and various toxic substances on an organism and search for correction methods;
  • Influence of various biologically active substances and flavonoids on metabolism;
  • Influence of heavy metal salts on assimilation of nutrients in a growing organism;
  • Comparative physiology, nutrition and digestion ecology.

Scientific achievements and the most important  scientific results of Human and animal physiology department

  • It has been shown that hypometabolits (benzonale, catacine, cavergal, gutimine and a serotonin) depress requirement of an organism to oxygen. Without rendering influence on oxidative phosphorylation processes they lead to decrease in energy expenses in an organism. Hypometabolits invoke synchronous decrease peroxide oxidations of lipids and activity of respiratory enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase). It has been revealed participation of antihypoxants as antioxidants in increase of biologic membranes stability. Hypometabolits supply additional cellular mechanisms of oxygen consumption as well as participate in streamlining of the formation of reactive oxygen species in mitochondria and in transformation of the various choronomic signals modulating respiration.
  • The glycoltic metabolism is increased a hypoxia. At middle hypoxia benzonale and catacine are prevent from accumulation of lactate in the blood. However at strong hypoxia the defensive effect of benzonale and catacine is decreased in an organism. At hypoxia damaging of cell energetic function begins with changing in NAD-connected electron transport function in respiration chain. The increase of hypoxic effect results in the second stage electron transport damage. It leads to particular decrease of ATP synthesis and increase of ADP and ATP content in tissues. At this condition Atkinson energetic charge is decreased, however ratio of adenine-nucleotides remains unchangeable. Benzonale and catacine keep content of adenine-nucleotides at hypoxia.
  • It has been shown that in mitochondrial membranes besides phospholipase А2 are lysophospholipase А1, phospholipase D, lysophosphlipase D, phospholipase C and triglyceridlipases.
  • It has been positioned a specific participation of hyper metabolites as the basic regulators of lipid metabolism in heart and a brain of animals in main metabolism reactions in organisms at thermo neutral, middle and high temperatures of environment.
  • It has been shown that in topography рН medium, development of ferment system activity and an interrelation of bacteria of the alimentary canal of mammals there is a natural correlation during individual life.
  • It has been revealed that gamma irradiation of animals’ leads to appreciable increase of accumulative container of Ca2 + in mitochondria which is reduced partially in the presence of ions of Co102 and completely in the presence of ions of Co227;
  • It has been established the role of the hormonal state (thyroid, corticoid and insular) of mother and offspring in forming of hydrolytic-transport systems in offspring;
  • It has been revealed the effect of various xenobiotics (heavy metal salts) and other stress-factors in forming of mechanisms of nutrient assimilation in postnatal ontogenesis in mammals;
  • It has been shown specific effect of phytoecdisteroids on the development of carbohydrate enzyme spectrum.
  • It has been shown the role of trophic activity and functional state of visceral systems of nematodes, earthworms, termites and other soil invertebrates in biochemical activity of soils.
  • It has been studied features of chemical ecology, nutrition and digestion in termite of Anacanthotermes genera.
